The clip shows a strong rotational wind current, resembling a waterspout, blowing off house roofs and damaging buildings. The post contained the following caption. Is it Real or AI-Generated?
Thai PBS Verify submitted the video clip for examination using the AI image verification tool on the Hive Moderation website. The inspection found no evidence that AI created the clip.
The verification results found no indication that the image was created by AI.
Furthermore, when we searched for the keywords “Whirlwind Ranot“ (พายุหมุน ระโนด) on Google Search Engine, we found a Facebook user who posted images of the damage after the incident. Where is the Incident Location?
When submitting one of the incident photos for verification via Google Maps, it was found that the damaged house is in Ban Khao Sub-district, Ranot District, Songkhla Province. This is confirmed as the house image in the post matches a specific home in Ban Khao Sub-district, Ranot District, Songkhla Province.

However, there are currently no reports of injuries or fatalities. Local officials and relevant agencies are preparing to visit the area to thoroughly inspect the damage and provide further assistance to affected residents.
Regarding the weather conditions in the southern region during this period, scattered thunderstorms and occasional gusty winds are still occurring. Residents in risk areas are therefore urged to monitor the situation closely.
